FAU membership is a coalition of food and soft drink advertisers, advertising agencies and the media (press, radio and television). This tripartite membership allows the FAU to represent the UK advertising industry holistically. The FAU helps to promote one voice across the food and soft drink advertising industry by co-ordinating the efforts of individual members and by working in partnership with other trade associations.
FAU membership benefits include:
- Regular updates on key events and issues relating to food advertising and promotion to children;
- Bi-monthly Stakeholder meetings;
- Parliamentary and public events, including the FAU Annual Conference;
- The latest ad trend data & ad hoc research projects;
- A voice in the debate within Whitehall, Westminster and the media;
- Advice on key issues, such as the code reviews and current Government thinking;
- A coordinated public affairs strategy, on behalf of its members;
- Representing members on relevant Government bodies and industry groups.
